Information We Collect

Usage Data (App) — When you use the BetterQuit app, your habit-tracking data (timestamps, craving intensity, notes) is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it.

Waitlist Information (Website) — When you join our waitlist, we collect your name and email address. This information is stored in a private, secured database accessible only to authorized BetterQuit team members.

Smart Reflections — When the app generates personalized reflections, your slip data is sent to a third-party service for processing. We do not store this data on our servers, and the provider does not retain it after processing.

How We Use Your Information

Data Storage and Security

All habit-tracking data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that store your personal health or usage data. Waitlist data is stored securely in Google's infrastructure with access limited to authorized team members.

You can delete all your app data at any time by uninstalling the app. To request removal of your waitlist information, contact us at hello@betterquit.app.
